Stan Lee, who is set to make a cameo appearance on “Captain America: Civil War,” said that he is on Captain America’s side. He also thinks that, Chris Evans who is playing Captain America, is a “great actor.”

Stan Lee finished filming his cameo for “Captain America: Civil War” in June this year. He attended the recent Edmonton Comic Expo where he was asked about his allegiance in the upcoming film. Comic Book News quoted him as saying, “Whatever side Captain America was on, because he's the best, pure-hearted person in the whole world."

“By the way, he's a great actor, too, the guy who plays Captain America does a beautiful job -- Chris Evans. I say that because he likes me, and anyone who likes me is a great actor,” Lee added.

The filming of “Captain America: Civil War” wrapped up on Aug. 23. Most of the scenes were shot in Atlanta, while some scenes were filmed in Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland.

In the conclusion of “Avengers: Age of Ultron", Tony Stark gave Captain America the key to the new Avengers training, as he [Stark] decided to take a back seat from the Avengers initiative.

“Captain America: Civil War” will pick up where the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off. Steve Rogers, alongside Natasha Romanoff will lead a new team of Avengers. Soon, he will not only have to deal with a fractured Avengers team but also a new, nefarious villain.

Familiar faces are set to reprise their roles, including the original cast from “Avengers: Age of Ultron” -- such as Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron man, Scarlett Johansson as The Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye / Clint Barton and recent recruits to the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Anthony Mackie as The Falcon / Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier / Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man / Scott Lang, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch / Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as The Vision.

Additional cast include Emily Van Camp as Agent 13 / Sharon Carter, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow / Crossbones, William Hurt as General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross and Martin Freeman.

“Captain America: Civil War” opens on May 6, 2016.
