'Grand Theft Auto 6' updates: Players to wait a while before the release + possible storyline

“Grand Theft Auto” is undoubtedly one of Rockstar Games’ most popular and most profitable titles. And because the latest addition to the franchise was released more than three years ago, players are itching to get their hands on the next hot installment.

“Grand Theft Auto 6” release date

With Rockstar Games’ recent announcement regarding the release of “Red Dead Redemption 2,” many have claimed that the work on “Grand Theft Auto 6” has been delayed. iDigitalTimes, however, says that the work on one title should not affect the work on another, especially in a company as large as Rockstar Games.

The publication goes on to confirm that the game publisher is divided into large divisions and that two of these divisions are working separately on “Red Dead Redemption 2” and “Grand Theft Auto 6.” Rockstar North is reportedly already in the beginning or planning stages of GTA 6, while Rockstar San Diego is evidently further along on RDR2.

If there will be a delay in the release, however, it will be by Rockstar Games’ own calculation. “Grand Theft Auto 5” is still a popular and profitable game despite its three years in the industry. Furthermore, “Grand Theft Auto 4” was released in 2008, a full five years before the current title. Using this timetable, players may wait until 2018 for “Grand Theft Auto 6.”

“Grand Theft Auto 6” plot and setting

There are various rumours circulating about a rather different feel for the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto 6.” Numerous outlets have claimed that Rockstar Games will finally have a female lead, as opposed to just notable female characters. Furthermore, the game publisher is reportedly looking at locations outside of the United States. It is possible that players will get to explore more exotic and tropical areas.
