“Girl Meets World” has been cancelled by Disney Channel after three seasons. The show’s last episode titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” aired last month, but it is likely that fans will get to see more episodes of the show. Amid reports of the show’s cancellation in its home network, actress Sabrina Carpenter (Maya) has shared her thoughts, saying she feels very lucky to have given life to Maya Hart.

Sabrina Carpenter has taken to social media to thank her “Girl Meets World” co-stars and Disney Channel for the opportunity to be part of the show, which has been a followup series to “Boy Meets World.” “To the family that was created on our set, between the cast and crew, thank you for giving us the ability to make mistakes and to grow,” she wrote on Instagram.

She said some people felt it was weird because she was excited to go to work to shoot for “Girl Meets World.” She said the cast loves one another. Show co-creator Michael Jacobs has previously expressed confidence that many, if not all of them, will be on board for a possible “Girl Meets World” season 4. "I believe everyone will be on board. But I have to say, there are practicalities to this. When something is cancelled, that basically releases everyone to make their own decisions," Jacobs told the Wrap.

Carpenter has also inspired her Instagram followers, urging them to do whatever they put in mind. “You're gonna meet the world now, and I think you'll love it,” she added. The actress has ended her Instagram post with a quote from director and screenwriter Federico Fellini. “There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life,” she wrote.

The actress has played the role of Maya Penelope Hart in the series, the 15-year-old daughter of Kermit (David Thomas Jenkins) and Katy (Cheryl Texiera). She is the best friend of Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), the daughter of Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga). Maya and Riley are both loyal to each other as they have been together through ups and downs, even in the finale episode of the show on Disney.

Carpenter has also appeared in “The Goodwin Games” in a recurring role as the young version of Chloe Goodwin. Aside from being an actress, she is also a singer and songwriter. She is signed to Hollywood Records. She already released two albums, “Eyes Wide Open” and “Evolution.”

It is expected that Carpenter will reprise her role if “Girl Meets World” will be renewed in a different network. As of this writing, there is no official word about the show’s renewal yet. The show’s ultimate fate is likely to be revealed in the near future. “Girl Meets World” aired in Australia through Disney Channel.

The last time I had in n out burger and didn't eat it, I had just been cast in a show called girl meets world! Tonight I sit here and I can't eat my in n out burger because life comes full circle.  We speak in the language of love, heartbreak, friendship, family, sadness, and laughter. Wherever we are in the world, whatever we believe in, whoever we love, we all speak that language.  We had the privilege of growing up in front of your eyes. The privilege of teaching the lessons we were learning ourselves and beyond that.  To the family that was created on our set, between the cast and crew, thank you for giving us the ability to make mistakes and to grow. I felt so safe in that bay window. People thought it was weird that I was excited to go to work. People thought it was weird that we really did and still do love each other. That's a rare entity, we hold that tight. Thank you Disney for giving this show and these characters the chance to see the light of day. I know I feel very lucky to have given life to Maya hart.  MJ- without you I wouldn't know most of what I do. I also probably would have never had 2 paint fights in my lifetime.  We live in an intricate world. We can be adversaries whilst being allies. To everyone that watched our show and felt something, thank you. To everyone that grew up watching Boy Meets World and decided to give our story for a new generation a chance, thank you.  And to the little girls reading this, You can do whatever you put your mind to.  You're gonna meet the world now, and I think you'll love it. "There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the infinite passion of life." - Fellini
