Rumours have it that Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum will star in their own version of the “Ghostbusters” reboot. However, theirs would be an all-male movie and entirely different from the all-female 2016 “Ghostbusters” that stars Melissa McCarthy among others.

Another “Ghostbusters” movie is said to be in development, with Channing Tatum and partners Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan set to produce the all-male movie version. According to Deadline, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, co-directors of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” will likely be directing the film with screenplay coming from “Iron Man 3” writer Drew Pearce.

Channing Tatum is reportedly still on board to also star in the movie and rumours have it he will be joined by “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt. The exclusive report from Deadline says Tatum is a good contender to play as one of the Ghostbusters because of his versatility in acting. Drew Pearce, who also wrote “Mission Impossible 5,” vouched for the actor and pitched his name to the Russo brothers, considering the success of his two previous films “21 Jump Street” and “Magic Mike.”

Meanwhile, Badass Digest is reporting the certainty of Chris Pratt joining his friend Channing Tatum in the movie. However, the site claims their “Ghostbusters” reboot will not be all-male. Writer Devin Faraci says he’s talked to sources who were reportedly confused as to where this “guy-centric” “Ghostbusters” reboot story came from. Although the movie will focus on the two male leads, Faraci claims its concept basically “spins out of the chemistry between real-life friends Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt.” “This isn't a case of 'everybody wants Chris Pratt in their movie,' this is a case of these two guys being pals and wanting to make this movie together,” he adds.

According to Screenrant, the “Ghostbusters” reboot will be made into four instalments. Currently in development is the first all-female version, which stars Kristin Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. The second is the rumoured reboot with Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum as the male leads and the third “Ghostbusters” film will supposedly see the two teams cross over. The fourth film would be a prequel. However, these instalments will reportedly not be focused on busting ghosts alone but will generally deal with the “world of supernatural FX comedies.”
