Apart from their head-turning outfits at the Melbourne Cup, the 71-year-old businessman, Geoffrey Edelsten stunned the crowd when he proposed to his 25-year-old model girlfriend, Gabi Grecko. Despite the fact that they are already engaged, the Australian medical entrepreneur chose the less than private location to drop to one knee in the Birdcage at Flemington as he proposed to Gabi Grecko with a princess cut diamond ring that made her say "yes" on the spot.

Geofrey told Confidential that he just proposed to Gabi seconds after it happened according to Herald Sun. After the divorce of the 71-year-old from his second wife for five years, Brynne Edelsten, was finalised, the pair has been publicly discussing their wedding plans.

"I'm shocked. Happy. We've talked about it for a long time and now it's official," the model claimed.

"I searched for something different that would go with a very special lady, and I decided to surprise her today," Edelsten said. The businessman further claimed that he got the heart-shaped diamond ring with other diamonds surrounding it overseas.

Edelsten is a regular race goer, often seen blinged out at Flemington in eccentric outfits with ex-wife Brynne. On the other hand, Grecko started to be on a media roadshow ever since she was spotted at Tom Hafey's memorial wearing a corset dress.

With Grecko's dyed waist-length hair, ample bosom, U.S. drawl and outlandish outfits, it is hard not to compare her to the businessman's second wife, who had been a star of My Bedazzled Life and guest on Dancing with the Stars. However, the model made it clear that she's not trying to be Brynne's lookalike. She further claimed that finds the articles saying that she looks like Brynne repetitive and that Brynne's style was trashy while her's is art. The millionaire claimed that the two do not look anything alike and they have different personalities.

In a previous article in Daily Telegraph, Grecko revealed that she is not a gold digger nor she has daddy issues. She said that she is in the relationship for the long haul and not for the media profile.
