General Hospital” star Emme Rylan recently worried fans when she announced that she experienced an injury at home.

The 36-year-old soap opera actress, who is best known for her role as Lulu Spencer, apparently broke her nose this week while playing with her sons. She took to Twitter to update her fans about her condition. “So it finally happened,” she wrote. “The price of playing outside with my boys. They broke my nose.”

According to Rylan, her four-year-old son was running to jump on a cushion and she sat up just then. His head hit her nose and it broke. She posted another tweet, saying, “Injury update- I have surgery Thursday morning but because of already scheduled dark weeks I will not be taking time off from work.” While the injury resulted to her nose being “totally crooked,” the doctors did not make any incisions on her face, she reported.

After the surgery, Rylan posted a selfie with the caption, “[Thank] you all for the love!! They said that surgery was an amazing success!” Her co-star, Rebecca Budig, commented, “Oh Emme!!! Only you can look pretty with a huge bandage on your face.” Budig plays Hayden Barnes in “General Hospital.”

On the soap, Rylan’s character is trying to have a second child with her husband, Dante. “How fun would it be to have a Cassadine child,” she said during an interview with On Air On Soaps. “We need one! We’re killing of all the Cassadines! I need a Cassadine baby!” In her interview, she also talked about the other “General Hospital” cast members, including Tyler Christopher, who plays Lulu’s brother Nikolas Cassadine.

She revealed that she had a close relationship with Christopher, and his disappearance made her sad. When Nick Stabile took over the Port Charles character again, Rylan had her doubts but soon changed her mind. “He was great and he did an excellent job. Nick really kept the character of Nikolas going, which was great,” she said. Rylan also commended Genie Francis, who plays her on-screen mom, Laura , especially during an epic scene at Cassadine Island. “Genie, you were awesome! You have no idea,” she said.

Rylan began playing Lulu in 2013, coming after actress Julie Marie Berman. She was previously known as Abby Newman on CBS’ soap, “The Young and the Restless.” Rylan’s husband, Don Money used to be part of a radio soap opera titled “Rockland County .”
