Gazillion Entertainment recently announced big news on its comic book inspired free-to-play action-RPG, “Marvel Superheroes 2015.” The game will be expanded with the addition of new heroes, updated graphics and a storyline familiar to Marvel fans.

The developer announced that the game will be making a transition to become “Marvel Heroes 2016” this December, as reported via press release to Gamasutra. This shift is in connection with the success of the game ever since it was rebranded as “Marvel Heroes 2015,” which brought about a slew of changes to the game.

The most notable additions being made to the game include leaderboards, visual updates, Steam Achievements and controller support, which is apparently the most fan-requested feature. The game will also feature a new Secret Invasion story chapter which is one of the more popular Marvel storylines to date.

The Secret Invasion will pit Earth’s mightiest heroes in a battle against an alien race called Skrulls. The Skrulls are capable of imitating the powers and abilities of the heroes. The chapter will also see the appearance of Super-Skrull Kl’rt, who has also been long requested by fans. Gazillion Entertainment will also see the All-New All-Different material in light with the same changes being made to several comic series.

The game’s fan base is also set to expand with the Mac version going out of the beta phase Cosmic Book News reports. The Mac version of “Marvel Heroes” has been in beta for well over a year now due to several issues and it’s good to hear that the developer has sorted it out well enough to release it in full.

Aside from the additions, Gazillion Entertainment has also planned for more content following the December launch of “Marvel Heroes 2016.” First of which is the launch of Savage Land Patrol Zone which is a never-ending gauntlet of enemies for players to face. The Mad Titan Thanos will also be making his debut sometime next year.
