“Marvel Heroes” is going to be full of Carnage soon, as the “Spider-Man” villain makes his first appearance in the massive multiplayer online game, or MMO. The character will be coming to the game once the latest update hits this week, though it seems like he will only be around during “Team-Ups,” as the character has only been confirmed for the game’s Team Up roster.

The character will come with a number of his signature moves, so players will be able to turn his hands into axes and shoot out spikes as ranged attacks. His signature symbiote claws will also be in the game, as the trailer below shows, dishing out maximum damage to the opponents.

Carnage has had a colourful history in video games and it seems like developer Gazillion Inc. is aware of this, as the character’s trailer comes with the music from the “Maximum Carnage” game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES. According to Comic Book, a band called Green Jelly did the soundtrack to “Maximum Carnage," and their song “Carnage Rules” is what plays on the character’s “Marvel Heroes” trailer.

Debuting in the 1990s, Carnage has been very popular with comic book fans, as he has appeared in numerous comics and even headlining his own batch of mini-series. Veteran writer Roy Thomas will be penning the character’s new adventures in November, as Carnage gets his first ever ongoing comic book series after the events of “Secret Wars.”

It seems like Carnage won’t be coming alone, however, as Comic Book Movie announced that War Machine would be making his debut in the game as well. Unlike Carnage, fans will actually be able to use War Machine anytime they want once they unlock him.

Gazillion Inc. will also be reviewing "X-Men" mainstay Cable. It seems like his moves and abilities will be rebalanced to make the game fairer for other players. Fans of the character can also expect some new abilities for him.

“Marvel Heroes” is a free-to-play online game and plays similarly to the “Ultimate Alliance” games, thanks to its action-oriented combat system. The game features numerous characters from both the comics and the movies, so there’s something for every kind of fan.
