Beyond the Wall scenes for “Game of Thrones” season 7 are reportedly being filmed in Iceland right now. The cast and crew members reached the country this week to begin filming, and Kit Harington was spotted among them.

[Spoiler alert]

Readers who have been closely following the news about the production will know that the team previously filmed scenes beyond the Wall at the Wolf Hill Quarry close to Belfast. The scene involved major characters including Jon Snow (Kit Harington), and 300 extras playing the role of Wights.

According to a report by Watchers on the Wall, the production team is doing some more filming for scenes beyond the Wall at Iceland. While Harington posed for a picture with one of the fans there, it is not clear in which city it was taken, and it is also not clear where exactly the filming is taking place.

A lot of pictures from the sets of “Game of Thrones” season 7 have already leaked online, despite the many measures taken by the producers and the expenses they incurred on security.

While the cast and crew have arrived in Iceland, the actual filming hasn’t begun yet. The production crew may be getting the set ready for the filming to take place smoothly.

Filming for the TV series started a little late this time around. The production started in August last year, because winter has finally arrived in the TV series and the producers wanted to film in the right weather conditions to show that on screen.

“Game of Thrones” season 7 will have only seven episodes. Even though filming for the new season has been going on for a while now, the team is taking the same amount of time as they would take to produce 10 episodes, which suggests that they are trying to deliver something better than last year.
