Freddie Roach is hoping that his prized-asset Manny Pacquiao will get to settle things once and for all with Floyd Mayweather inside the ring, believing that "Pacman" can come out on top.

Disagreements in terms have had been the main hindrance for the much-awaited blockbuster clash to take place, with 'Money' demanding for things that would work to his favuour - from demanding an Olympic-like drug testing to making sure that he gets a significant share of the proceeds - which are perceived to be moves to prevent the fight from happening, as he doesn't want his undefeated record to be blemished.

"I hope it does because I know Manny can beat him," the 54-year-old trainer told philstar.com.

"But from what I hear, Mayweather refuses to work with Top Rank and will only fight at the MGM because they pay him to fight there."

"Mayweather has a great deal with Showtime. Even if Showtime loses on his fights, he ends up making lots of money so I can't see that changing."

Meanwhile, Pacquiao, who is preparing for his upcoming bout against Chris Algieri in November 23, bared that one of his objectives before he hangs up his gloves is to face Mayweather.

"I do have one specific goal and that is to give the boxing fans the fight they have always asked for [against Mayweather]. I want that fight too. I believe good negotiations could produce the fight," said the fighting lawmaker from the Philippines."

However, he concedes that at the end of the day, it will be the desire of both him and Floyd that will ultimately decide how talks will turn out.

"But it is impossible to negotiate when you are the only one sitting at the table. Two fighters who want to fight each other have never been kept from fighting each other," he pointed out.
