A gain for Manchester City FC is a loss for New York City FC. After Frank Lampard extended his loan deal with the Manchester club, his adoring fans from the Big Apple will have to wait for some more time to get a glimpse of the England midfielder in action for them.

This was very creatively put forward by a New York City FC fan who posted a missing poster of Lampard on his twitter feed. His post says that Lampard is missing since Jul. 24th 2014 from Bronx, New York. This loud, drunk and obnoxious, Caucasian male who is usually seen in a light blue shirt was last heard discussing a business trip to Manchester. He has been missing since and any information about him can be forwarded to either the Major League Soccer headquarter or the New York City Football Club.

Not only New York City FC but also his employer for the last decade Chelsea FC must be ruing the fact that they let him go. At 36 he is proving a very important cog in City's midfield. With Yaya Toure going off to the African Cup of Nations this need will be even more profound.

Not only that, Lampard has not lost his goal scoring touch after joining his new club, in 18 appearances for the club in all competitions he has scored seven goals. This included a strike against his former club to end their perfect start to the season. He also went through a phase in late September where he scored four goals in four matches. Yesterday he scored a dramatic late winner against Sunderland FC to go joint top of the league.

Having retired from international football after the last World Cup has given him even more time and energy to concentrate on club football. His years of experience and winners mentality will help City mount a formidable title defense. For now his adoring fans across the Atlantic will have to make do by watching him on television for some more time.
