FKA twigs walked the red carpet at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) sans her fiancé Robert Pattinson. The British songstress looked elegant in a black see-through Atelier Versace corset and skirt outfit.

The “Glass and Patron” singer ditched her regular hairstyle (of multiple braids) and opted for a simple, curly-haired look. "As soon as I saw the beautiful Versace Couture gown, I thought full, curly hair with an undone texture would be perfect," Christian Wood, twigs' hairstylist, told Fashion Times in an interview.

Pattinson's girlfriend kept it simple in the accessories department and wore simple jewellery from designer Eva Fehren. Compared to her previous red carpet appearances, twigs' 2015 MTV VMA red carpet style was quite traditional. Her previous red carpet dresses include a multi-coloured Alexander McQueen birds of paradise dress with feathers and a Christopher Kane gown that had male external body part on it.

Ironically, Twigs, 28, who is a multi-talented singer/director and choreographer, is in news more for her relationship with the “Twilight” star than her achievements. There is speculation in the media that she is soon going to tie the knot with Pattinson but twigs dismissed the news during her recent interview.

The British singer was also nominated in many categories at the VMAs--namely Artist to Watch, Best Visual Effects and Best Cinematography. However, the “Figure 8” singer did not win any awards at the ceremony.

Singer Taylor Swift, who was the most-nominated artist of the show, won big at the show. She also took home the coveted Video of the Year prize for “Bad Blood.” Swift also addressed the controversies related to the song as she went onstage to accept the award.

“There’s been a lot of discussion about this video and what it means,” Swift said about “Bad Blood.” “But I’m just happy that in 2015 we live in a world where boys can play princesses and girls can play soldiers.”
