"Fifty Shades of Grey" casting rumours continue to spread like wildfire on the web. Certainly, fans aren't getting the least bit tired of naming one potential star to the next. The latest celebrity eyed for the iconic role of Christian Grey is none other than the "Dark Knight", Christian Bale.

Fans of Christian won't likely see him play Batman in the upcoming film adaptation of "Justice League" but a lot of women see him as a suitable Christian Grey for the upcoming film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Apart from sharing the first name of Christian, a lot of fans agrees Bale is the perfect actor for the role given he's gotten his share of playing mysterious and dark characters. Everyone would recall Christian Bale's "American Psycho" film that got a lot of women both attracted and frightened. Also, Christian has no problem playing a billionaire given he did play one for "Dark Knight." Despite being 39-years of age, Christian still manages to look extremely sexy and handsome.

However, this isn't the first time Christian Bale has been eyed for the role of Grey. Late last year, Christian was included in a few fan favourite lists. In fact, PolicyMic even wrote out two strong reasons why Christian Bale is the perfect Christian Grey.

"A) Bale is known for the radical physical transformations he endures from one part to the next; and B) the actor previously played a role similar to Christian Grey in the 2000 adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' novel American Psycho -- where Bale played Patrick Bateman, a Wall Street investment banker with secret killer instincts," stated PolicyMic.

Even online publishers agree that Christian Bale is the most suitable Hollywood actor for the role.

"Handsome, young and charming Christian Bale has the ideal characteristics needed for the role of Christian Grey. Men want to be him and women want to be with him - it is therefore no surprise he took 1/3 of the votes," explained Thomas D. Gommes, founder and publisher of The Periscope Post.

With the film set for an August 2014 release, casting shouldn't be far off schedule. So should Universal Studios and Focus Features enlist the aid of Christian Bale for the role as Christian Grey?
