As such, the developers have already released the details of the Season Pass, and it brings a lot of downloadable content, starting with Freedom City. Here, you will encounter nine missions exclusively for Adewale the first mate in AC4.

This will be a story-based DLC and will take the point of view of Adewale fifteen years after he joins Kenway's ship. And this time, you will take Adewale in a journey towards learning the art of assassination.

In a press release obtained by Joystiq, it was also revealed that the Season Pass will bring the Exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, for personalising the Jackdaw. There will be more missions, skins, and collectibles for single-player mode, while the multiplayer mode will have more unlockable characters.

The Season Pass for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag can get you to save 20% off the downloadable add-ons, which are slated to be released early 2014.

PS3 and PS4 players to get exclusive content

Beyond the game, there will be exclusive content for the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag that's only for PS3 and PS4 gamers. The trailer below shows off the gameplay for the additional content.

"We loved Aveline in Liberation and we felt that we could tell more story. The extra Aveline missions, it's about an hour of extra content spread over three missions... that progress her story, exclusively for our PlayStation 3 and 4," said Ashraf Ismail, game director.

The additional content comprises span blocks of narrative that explore her story further. You'll get to learn more about Aveline's history and personality with the exclusive PS3 and PS4 content., according to the PlayStation Blog.

Combats for Aveline in the additional content is something that old fans will love and new fans will enjoy, as all the weapons and fighting styles, from pistols to the trademark machete will be present.

There's also the bonus of an even bigger and richer world for the PS4, as Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has been touted as having better displays and graphics for Sony's next-gen console.

New gameplay content available

In an exclusive video interview with VG 24/7, lead writer Darby McDevitt shows off some new gameplays and sequences that depict a near-perfect and near-finished Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

McDevitt explains that the kind of action and danger that you will encounter in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is actually dependent on you. As you start out in the game, you have a pretty clean record, and as your pirates' ways and looting increase, so does your wanted level.

"Pirate hunters will start to come after you, and the higher your wanted level, the more intense the battles are and the danger to you," said McDevitt.

For Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, distractibility is not a problem. You may start off with a mission, but exploration of the world is not unheard of nor unwelcomed even in the middle of a mission. This is what sets it apart from its predecessors, where you are more bent on focusing on the mission at hand.
