American TV host Ellen DeGeneres and Australian-American actress Portia de Rossi’s divorce speculations have come to light once again. The subject of their divorce is reported to be Rossi’s wish to have a baby.

DeGeneres reportedly disagrees on Rossi’s desire to have a baby. The TV host is happy about Rossi’s failed IVF treatment. Rossi’s desperate attempt to have a baby has strained the seven-year-old relationship of the couple.

Rumours are rife that the couple is staying in separate houses as Rossi is devastated after learning about Ellen’s views on adoptions and IVF treatments, according to Parent Herald. Another report from Classicalite has revealed that the couple is trying to sort out their issues and is attending couple's therapy to save their marriage.

In 2013, Rossi made an announcement that she and DeGeneres were not planning on having children. However, she could not stick to her statement for long and now wishes to conceive by IVF technique. However, she received no support from her partner on this subject.

"Ellen said she realized she doesn't want to be a mom. It was utterly devastating news for Portia. She really hasn't recovered from it. Ellen can be very selfish at times...She wants things her way," Realty Today quoted a source.

DeGeneres and Rossi have been in a relationship from 2004 and got engaged when the ban from same-sex marriage was lifted in California on May 15, 2008. The couple got married on Aug. 16, 2008 at their home in Beverly Hills, California in a private ceremony. They share their house with four pet dogs and three cats. Rossi even filed a petition to legally adopt Ellen’s last name and on Sept. 23, 2010, Rossi was granted the petition to change her name to Portia Lee James DeGeneres.

In an interview with People last month, Ellen told that she and Rossi share similar passion for passion for interior design and art deco but are “having a hard time staying put.”
