Ed Sheeran is set to release a new collaboration song titled “Lay It All on Me” with the English electronic music band Rudimental on Friday. The “Thinking Out Loud” singer and the band previously worked together on a remixed version of “Bloodstream.”

Co-written by Sheeran and Rudimental with the British alternative rock band Snow Patrol, “Bloodstream” was from Sheeran’s second studio album “x.” Sheeran and Rudimental’s remixed version of the single was a Vodafone Big Top 40 chart hit.

Before the release of “Lay It All on Me,” the brand new collaboration song of Sheeran and Rudimental will hit the airwaves of Capital FM for the first time on Thursday. The collaboration song will be the latest single from Rudimental’s upcoming album “We The Generation.”

Prior to “Lay It All on Me,” Rudimental released two singles titled “Never Let You Go” and “I Will For Love” from the “We The Generation” album, which is the band’s second studio album. Their debut studio album titled “Home” was released on April 29, 2013.

Sheeran’s debut studio album “+” was released on Sept. 9, 2011. It took almost three years before the release of the English singer-songwriter’s second studio album, from which the singles “Don’t,” “Sing,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Bloodstream” and “Photograph” were released.

Meanwhile, Sheeran is yet to release his third studio album. “Photograph,” which he co-wrote with Snow Patrol member Johnny McDaid, was the fifth and final single from his second studio album “x.”

Days before the release of “Lay It All on Me,” Sheeran was spotted wearing a Nationals jersey and cap while taking batting practice at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. Weeks before this, he was also spotted wearing a Mets cap when he attended a Mets-Phillies game at Citi Field in New York City, Washington Post reports.
