With the Combined Arms crucible weekend already over, the "Destiny" team has announced a new limited time event for the Iron Banner, which will test your game in a non-level playing field. The Iron Banner event will be held from Oct. 7 to Oct. 14, as announced in the mini website.

The new event will also test players based on their power during PvE, reports VG 24/7. The Iron Banner in "Destiny" will deliver more unlockable bounties, Legendary gear and more rewards, which always makes it a delight to play.

In addition, a new hotfix has also been announced by the "Destiny" developer team. According to the latest blog post, the update will prompt a maintenance window that will make "Destiny" services interrupted for a few hours. However, the list of changes coming to "Destiny" via the new update will enhance the technology for better gameplay as well as address some stability concerns regarding servers.

The list of fixes include the following:

- Added more data logging for matchmaking systems

- Improved connectivity failure handling to reduce beaver (Kick To Orbit events) KTOs

- Improved logging of player disconnections

- Internal tool fixes to speed up release process

- Fixes to the roster system to allow the developer to tune the frequency of roster updates on the Xbox One

- Fixed a bug that allowed users to quick scope on some weapons

Server fixes

- Security fixes

- Server performance improvements

- Fixes to reduce the frequency of some KTOs

- Better logging to help diagnose connectivity problems

- Fixes to some Centipede errors that were exclusive to specific player characters

The fix follows latest talk from developer Bungie about their plans for matchmaking in the raids. The most that the team is willing to divulge to fans right now is that they are looking at the matchmaking support for more challenging areas in "Destiny."

The last of the updates involves the "Destiny" web app companion, which basically adds two major changes, the first of which is the Grimoire Update for easier viewing of cards and in-game bonuses. The Destiny Blog reports that the other major change comes in the Help section, which now gives players an easier time when searching for articles or resolved issues.

Other fixes include viewing of clan name in accounts that are set to private, Raid Advisor in weekly boss progress, team scores now made available for team-based games, and group probation message displayed. Check out the link for the complete lineup of new fixes.
