"Destiny" is getting a new patch, and fans would be happy to know that the list is a rather long one filled with exotic weapons, more ways to upgrade materials and even changes in upgrading said exotic items. On the technical side, there are also some issues related to the Raid that will be corrected.

In the recent blog update from Bungie, the developer has detailed what's coming with the new patch, and it can be divided into four main additions. The longest list is the weapons guide, where Bungie reiterated again that the team wants weapons to challenge players on how they experience "Destiny" instead of them being overpowered tools to dominate battles.

Since "The Dark Below" DLC is coming this month, the dev is already preparing some general tweaks and changes with "Destiny." The first is that upgrading Exotic Armour and weapons will no longer require Ascendant Materials, though the final upgrade node for Exotic Gear needs the Exotic Shard.

There are two ways to obtain Exotic Shards: players either dismantle unwanted Exotics or purchase the shards from Xur with seven Strange Coins. There's still reason to upgrade Exotics, as they will now start with a higher base Attack value, despite a narrowed upgrade range.

Some of the weapons have also received specific changes and upgrades, including Thorn, Bad Juju, Hard Light, Suros Regime, Monte Carlo, MIDA Multi-Tool, Hawkmoon, Red Death, Plan C, Pocket Infinity, Vex Mythoclast, Invective, Ice Breaker, Patience and Time, Super Good Advice and Truth. Each weapon has a different set of changes.

In general, the changes are meant to balance the game. Some weapons like the Monte Carlo has increased in stability but decreased in range. This could be Bungie's way of giving more power to the weapon without making it the only ideal weapon to use in the game.

Some of the activities have also been fixed, starting with Raid. There will no longer be an issue with Atheon not correctly sending three players through the time gates. Players will also now see Destination Materials drop after completing the Daily Heroic. Also, Bounties will see two changes: the removal of "Relic Hunter" in Bounty and Destination Material drops after completing Daily Patrol Bounties.

In light of "The Dark Below" release, "Destiny" players on the PS4 and PS3 have a little extra to expect. The PlayStation Blog revealed that there will be some PlayStation-exclusive content coming with the title's first DLC.

One of the exclusives on PlayStation platforms is "The Undying Mind" Strike that players can do on Mars. Here, "Destiny" players will face dangers in The Back Garden and the Vex machine-beast considered to be an ancient evil. This Strike will be a three-player co-op activity which can either be played with friends or via matchmaking.

There will also be an Exotic Shotgun called The 4th Horseman. It's a four-barrel, five-shot full auto shotgun that will give players fast fire rate. Apparently, it's faster than any player has fired so far. There's even a bonus damage when players reach the final round of shots. For those who manage to deliver a kill with this gun, The 4th Horseman will grant bonus ammo to the magazine.

"The Dark Below" is coming this Dec. 9. It will be bringing quite the game-changing new features and changes in "Destiny" gameplay.
