There's a new surprise waiting for players of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" once the new year and the first DLC, Havoc, hit. Developer Sledgehammer Games has teased that the team has been playing with the idea of zombies with the revolutionary EXO suit theme that came with the title.

The result is the mix of the two, as seen in what the developer calls as an Easter Egg that they have already left in Riot via Exo Survival mode. The video below shows what fans can expect and also what Xbox players can look forward to as an early access treat. the DLC bonus weapon called AE4-Widowmaker.

"As things were wrapping up around launch, we started playing around with the idea of what happens when zombies were thrown into the mix with exoskeleton gameplay. What we came up with is Exo Zombies--an entirely new breed of zombies and an entirely new co-op experience that is truly unique to 'Advanced Warfare,'" said the developer on their official blog.

The new breed of zombies will be coming in early next year. For now, fans can grab the Season Pass to make sure that they don't miss out on the super-powered undead.

New Patch Teased By Devs

A new patch will be coming to "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" and the devs are already excited to share the news. Charlie Intel has spotted the tweet from Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey. "Stay tuned for notes [including] weapon balancing, ranked play updates, map exploits & spawn fixes, optimizations," said the tweet as quoted by Charlie Intel.

This is not the first patch for the game since it was released. Over at the Call of Duty Forums, there's already a long list of changes made to the game. One of the latest patches dealt with improvements to the multiplayer mode for all platforms.

'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' Double XP and Supply Drops

For those who still have yet to buy a copy of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," there's another reason why they should grab the chance before the year ends. VG 24/7 reports that a Redditor has received an email that details some new prizes just for having a copy of the title and playing it. The source states that gamers have until Dec. 31 to play the title to get 10 hours of 2XP as well as five Supply Drops. Players will get the 2XP on the first match, while the Supply Drops will add weapons, gear and more to their arsenal.

It appears that this also holds for those who already have a copy of the game, so all fans need to do is play the title by Dec. 31 to get the prize. Check out the dev's email in the link above.
