In light of the recently released "The Dark Below" expansion for "Destiny," developer Bungie has also released a hotfix, which will support the upcoming new content. There are only a few features and things that received an update, such as general bug fixes to content in the expansion, as well as increased challenge levels for Daily Heroic Story, Weekly Heroic Strike and Weekly Nightfall Strike. However, Bungie has also included a small reminder for those who are looking to level up their Guardians while playing "The Dark Below."

According to Bungie's blog post, players need to upgrade their characters in the Tower to be able to complete featured missions at the new difficulty levels. This is because "The Dark Below" will see vendors having more powerful weapons and gears that will be made available for players.

Get A Gift From The Postmaster

For those who are about to play "The Dark Below" expansion in "Destiny," make sure to drop by the Postmaster in the Tower first to claim your gift. Game Informer reports that the developer has already provided the gifts, whic include ascendent materials, black wax idols and two pieces of level 20 uncommon gear. The promised upgrade of weapons and gear sold by vendors at the Vanguard and Crucible are also already in the game.

Dropping by Eris Morn is also a good idea for upgrading weapons. Players can take on her quests for bounties so they can buy materials for upgrades, since there are some changes in the way the weapons and gear are updated with the arrival of the new update.

Racing Mode Is An Idea For 'Destiny'

With the 10-year plan ahead for "Destiny," Bungie has been cooking up ways to make sure that the title stays relevant for gamers. At the PlayStation Experience event, GameSpot talked to Bungie community manager Eric Osborne on some of the plans that the developer has in store. One of them is a possible racing mode, considering how some fans have been using the Sparrow as a racing vehicle.

"Part of the process of sustaining [Destiny] is figuring out what's the most bang for the buck, what's the right feedback to go after and address, how do we deliver the experiences that players want," Osborne said to GameSpot. "And race is definitely one of the things that has come up as a topic, so we'll see."

For now, these appear to be plans still being thrown around in discussions within the team, so Osborne has clarified that there are still no promises for the racing mode. But the fact that Bungie has acknowledged fans' interest in the mode may be one step into the process of having racing for "Destiny" in the future.
