2013’s “Deadpool” was a hit among Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC players. Although the game fell quite short from its hype, players were still captivated by the humour and action brought by the game’s main protagonist. It seems publisher Activision will once again get a chance at the game with a remaster set to hit newer consoles.

In a Tweet sent by GameStop, Activision is set to roll out a better and updated version of “Deadpool.” The remaster is slated for a Nov. 17 release for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One for a price of $50. Gamespot reports that the remaster is made fully by the choice of Activision and it wasn’t upon the request of fans, like the recently announced “Prototype HD.”

The product page for the remaster can be seen at GameStop. According to the page, the new version of “Deadpool” will ship with all the DLC from the original game, along with two bonus levels and alternate suits. The page was written in “Deadpool” fashion as the text seems to break the fourth wall and speaks to the readers themselves.

Many fans claim that the game lacked a lot of good features for it to be considered as a good game. Aside from having no replay value, the game was criticized for being too redundant with having the same hack and slash action all throughout.

However, the game did well in portraying the character that originated from a comic series. Throughout the game, players were treated to the quirky antics of Deadpool as he seemingly interacts with the player on various points in the game. At one point in the game’s main storyline, the game transitions from a typical hack and slash action game, to a retro-style game which featured a top-bottom view seen from classi “Legend of Zelda” games.

Some fans were not surprised at the announcement of the remaster as many have expected it since the movie based on the popular anti-hero is set to launch next year. Hopefully, the game might do better with upgraded graphics that could run on today’s consoles.
