The antichrist will begin to accept his role in the world in the finale episode of “Damien” Season 1. A promo video of the next episode teases some of the scenes and shows how Thorn has turned the Beast loose.

[Spoiler alert]

A promo video of the finale episode posted on YouTube shows an angry Thorn (Bradley James) asking Simone (Megalyn Echikunwoke) to stop telling him what to do. Simone was only pleading with Thorn to not give in to the darkness within him.

So far Thorn has been the cause of the deaths of many people around him, but has never been directly involved. The people who die are the ones who were close to finding out his true identity or are in his path. There has been a slow transition of the character in the past few episodes, as he gradually started accepting his nature and started hurting people.

The transformation may now be complete in the finale episode of “Damien.” The promo shows John Lyons (Scott Wilson), who is the snake making way for the antichrist, telling Thorn that he has let the Beast loose. There is a scene of several dogs running towards their next victim and there may be more deaths in store in the finale episode. One of the scenes shows Simone chocking.

Meanwhile the police seem to be catching up with Thron. A scene shows policemen approaching Thorn at an inopportune moment. Will the efforts of Detective James Shay (David Meunier) finally begin to bear fruit?

Executive Producer Glen Mazzara said in an interview posted on the YouTube channel of A&E that the sheer number of deaths around Thorn is bound to raise suspicions about him. The obsession of Detective Shay made him a victim of several attacks throughout the first season of “Damien.”
