Claire will have a difficult choice to make in the next episode of “Outlander” Season 2. Jamie will give her an ultimatum and his actions threaten to change the course of future events and take them in a direction that is not to Claire’s liking.

[Spoiler alert]

Alex Randall (Laurence Dobiesz) has been kind to Mary Hawkins (Rosie Day). The young girl even praised him while chatting with Claire (Caitriona Balfe). However, Claire knows that Mary will one day wed Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) and in that way become her husband Frank’s ancestor.

The promo video of the next episode shows Claire carrying a letter, which may be the key to the very existence of Frank. Jamie (Sam Heughan) is not very understanding of Claire’s feelings and gives her an ultimatum to choose between Frank and him.

Meanwhile, a clip from the next episode posted on Harper’s Bazaar shows Claire meeting Mary for the first time after the incident at the dinner party. It appears that Jamie and Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) were arrested by the police, thanks to Comte St. Germain (Stanley Weber).

Jamie and Murtagh will be released by the police soon and don’t appear to be facing any more trouble with regards to the rape case in the next episode of “Outlander” Season 2. Mary tells Claire that she has written a letter to clarify the events of the night and help get Alex out of prison too.

In a recent interview with Variety , Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore said that the “Outlander” TV series was a “very emotional story” and a part of the job of any show is to get an emotional response from the audience. “Sometimes it’s horror, sometimes it’s laughter, sometimes it’s making you cry. I think it’s part of our basic job,” he said.
