"Criminal Minds" Season 9 is seriously expecting more names to grace its list of guest stars, this time tapping Royal Pains star Paul Costanzo for the upcoming 12th episode.

This means that he won't be appearing in "The Hamptons" anymore, because according to The Hollywood Reporter, he will be a part of Penelope Garcia's (played by Kirsten Vangsness) early, troubled life prior to becoming the tech genius of the BAU team.

Given this development, there has also been talk of Beth (Bellamy Young) coming back to reprise her role as Hotchner's love interest. In "Criminal Minds" Season 9 Episode 5, Haley, Hotchner's late wife, has given her blessing for him to pursue a future with Beth. But with Young's commitment to another show, "Scandal," the question is if it would even be possible.

TV Line has asked Gibson about this, and his response was, "It's all up to Shonda [Scandal's creator]. It'd be nice to see if she'd let [Bellamy Young] come and play. I'm hoping that they will."

Matthew Gray Gubler on Directing and Playing a Part

Everyone loves Dr. Spencer Reid, who is portrayed by Matthew Gray Gubler, but there's more to love about the actor considering the double life he leads on the set: that of a director and an actor.

In an exclusive with Zap2It.com, Gubler reveals the ups and downs of doing two things at once. "The episode before and after (a directing assignment) are always very heavy on me," said Gubler to Zap2It.com. "I'm either prepping mine or editing mine, so I'm just kind of living in my trailer and sleeping very little. The episodes around that one are always challenging, but fun."

For one, he enjoys directing these disturbing episodes since admitting that he is a subscriber of Fangoria since he was twelve years old in another interview with AssignmentX.

Gubler has also shared a project with "Criminal Minds" alumna Paget Brewster (who played Emily Prentiss and will be reappearing for the 200th episode), which was a horror movie titled "The Adventures of Raymond and Becca: Haunting in the Edge of the City."

Gubler has also been responsible for some of the horror-creepier episodes in "Criminal Minds," such as Mosley Lane, Lauren, Heathridge Manor, The Lesson, Alchemy, and, this time, Gate Keeper, the latest episode.

Sneak Peek of the Week: Episode 7

For this week's "Criminal Minds: Season 9 episode sneak peek, the BAU team is up against a creepy stalker who resorts to voyeurism and murder. Not only that, he also compiles a pretty gory book of his victims, as seen in the promotional trailer in link.

For "Criminal Minds" Season 9 Episode 7, the cases will be about a string of strangulations (no pun intended) that do not seem to have one commonality except for the fact that the unsub kept mementos of the victims, reports Spoiler TV.

Kudos to the writers of "Criminal Minds" Season 9 for the creepy allusion of a spider spinning its web around its prey, which can perhaps be one way to bring back the psychologically disturbing aspect that seems to be lacking for the start of the season.
