"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is officially out, but before you start playing, a few more details have been released and may serve as a slight damper for some shooting mood.

To begin with, don't expect hours upon hours of single-layer shooting campaign because the latest report from Cinema Blend has pegged the length to just four and a half hours.

To be fair, "Battlefield 4" only gathered up to four hours on single player, which pretty much shows that single player for both of these games may not be as great as you want it to be. Still, "Battlefield 4" offered a major improvement and great experience for its multi-player campaign, which has set a pretty good standard for succeeding FPS games.

Perhaps the lifeblood of shooter games really rely on the multi-player mode, considering that single-player campaigns can become a rather dull and repetitive practice over a short period of time.

But "Call of Duty: Ghosts" seems to be the shortest of the franchise, and given the emotional approach and the bigger cast of characters (female soldiers have just joined the commotion) and Riley the dog, they're probably reserved for multi-player.

Xbox One Dev Kit Shown Off in a Video

With the Xbox One releasing in more than 2 weeks, a quick view of the dashboard for those anticipating the launch has been released, though this is from a dev kit. Basically, what you have is a tiled look for layout of the apps and settings, as well as a responsive interface.

DualShockers found the video from Tom Warren, which you can watch in the given link, and it shows off how playing a game on the Xbox One feels like. Despite previous news of resolution issues, the video shows that players can access apps even when gaming pretty quickly, though the overall design is said to be a bit colourless, it won't exactly be much of a problem.

'Metal Gear Solid 5' Gets a Release Frame and a Title

Continuing with the "Metal Gear Solid" series, the fifth and upcoming installment, "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes," has been announced. Developer Konami has already pegged spring 2014 as the release date, 6 years after its predecessor.

But there's also a bit of surprise in that the game is a prologue and will be immediately followed by "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain," with the former serving as an entry point and introduction to some key elements in the "Phantom Pain," reports Joystiq. In addition, it will be a bridge between "MGS4" and "Phantom Pain."

Both "Ground Zeroes" and "Phantom Pain" will be coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One at $29.99 for the retail version and $19.99 for the digital edition. Expect a rescue mission that infiltrates a Cuban prison camp, an open environment and an interesting take on dynamic elements in the game for "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes."
