"Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev and "Dancing with the Stars" pro dancer Derek Hough recently ignited the dating rumours between the two after they were spotted together for the first time. The couple was photographed arriving at the Roosevelt Hotel on Saturday night, October 5, in Los Angeles and the sighting sort of confirms the dating rumours that surfaced before the end of September.
Nina Dobrev, who happens to be best friends with Derek's younger sister Julianne Hough, looked simply stunning with her loose brown hair, skintight jeans, a black sleeveless top and brown ankle boots. Derek Hough, on the other hand, sported a casual look with baggy ripped jeans, a grey shirt, brown boots and a beanie.
Earlier in the evening, the 24-year-old Canadian beauty and the 28-year-old professional dancer and choreographer were also spotted at the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights enjoying the company of Derek's sister Julianne and British actress Lily Collins.
Ms Dobrev may have initially divulged to Us Weekly that she is not in a hurry to jump back into a relationship with someone after breaking up with "Vampire Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder, but the current turn of events indicates that Nina is ready to give love another try. It appears Derek Hough is that new man in Nina's life.
In her social media accounts at Twitter and WhoSay, the actress has been expressing how smitten she is with Derek Hough after he won an Emmy award for "Outstanding Choreography." The actress posted on her Twitter account @ninadobrev: "Those of us touched by your light got to watch you brighten up the rest of the world. Keep shining!"
An unnamed source has revealed to Us Weekly that Derek was smitten as well with the "Vampire Diaries" star. "Nina was hanging a lot with Derek's sister Julianne. Derek is smitten with Nina. He said he hasn't felt this way for a girl in a long time," the source shared.
Mr Hough has been linked in the past to actress Shannon Elizabeth, singer Cheryl Cole and "The Hills" star Lauren Conrad. According to MailOnline, the spokesman for Derek Hough refused to give a comment about the pro dancer's relationship with Nina Dobrev.
