Helena Bonham Carter said she is still waiting for her happy ever after her relationship with Tim Burton ended at the end of last year. The 48-year old said she is expecting her own fairytale moment to happen soon.

Playing fairy godmother to Cinderella may have given her the ability to create a happy ever after onscreen, Helena said she does not even know if she ever had a fairytale moment in her own life. Even though she is considered one of the most successful actresses who hailed from the UK, Helena’s own success at finding her Prince Charming is yet to be attained. She spent 13 years with actor Tim Burton but this did not end in a happy ever after for her because they ended things between them before 2014 ended. In addition, during all those years, they did not even share a home, despite the fact that they share two children. They preferred to live next door to each other in North London, with their children Billy Ray and Nell.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star Online at the premiere of “Cinderella” in the UK, the actress shared that while she did not have the luck of experiencing a “fairytale moment in her life” yet, she feels that it would happen soon enough. In the meantime, the actress is focused on her acting career. On her role as Fairytale Godmother in “Cinderella,” Helena said it was a difficult role to take on. In particular, it was difficult to make the character came off as original when the story of Cinderella has been told through movies several times already.

According to Independent UK, Helena said that at first, she was worried about the reception of people toward the firm. She even thought it would come off as cliché or boring. "Because Cinderella is a story that's been told a hundred times and everyone knows what's going to happen,” she said. "But having seen it I'm amazed and it does work, which is testament to, one - the story is such a classic and was meant to be retold.” she added.
