British rock band Coldplay gave a huge Thanksgiving surprise to their fans as the lead vocalist of the band Chris Martin premiered a new song titled “Everglow” from their upcoming album “A Head Full of Dreams.”

Coldplay fans were in for yet another surprise as the “Everglow” features Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Chris Martin premiered the song during Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. The singer also divulged the origin of the song during the show.

“I was in the ocean one day with this surfer guy. He was like, ‘Yo dude, I was doing this thing the other day, man. It gave me this total everglow!’ I was like, ‘What an amazing word!’ then the song came completely out," The News Independent quoted Martin.

"To me, it’s about – whether it’s a loved one or a situation or a friend or a relationship that’s finished, or someone’s passed away – I was thinking about after you’ve been through the sadness of something, you also get this everglow. That’s what it’s about,” the singer added.

Opening up about a few more surprises embossed in the album, Chris said that “A Head Full Of Dreams” also features Beyonce’s baby girl Blue Ivy Carter, his own children Apple and Moses and his new girl Annabelle Wallis, apart from actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

“The colors we’re missing within the band we tried to bring in with guests and other producers,” Martin told. It was only a few weeks back that the album’s first single, “Adventure of a Lifetime” from “A Head Full of Dreams” was released.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Martin stressed on the need for boosting creativity and dealing with confidence issues. Martin and his band mates, Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums), are waiting for their seventh studio album “A Head Full of Dreams” which slated for a Dec. 4 release.
