Cars, more than electronic gadgets, are said to take the centre stage in the ongoing Consumer Electronic Show 2013 in Las Vegas. However, in the case of Hyundai, it will showcase high technology as well with a demonstration of Apple's Siri Eyes Free mode.

The Eyes Free mode allows motorists on select Hyundai model to instruct Siri to perform certain tasks on their iPhones, while keeping the driver's eyes glued on the road and hands on the steering wheel.

Here's a demonstration on how the Eyes Free mode works in a Chevy Spark.

Apple rolled out the Eyes Free mode at the 2012 Worldwide Developer Conference in the middle of the year. Besides Hyundai, other vehicle manufacturers that have the mode are BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota, Chrysler, Honda and General Motors.

Aside from integrating Siri Eyes Only mode, Hyundai will also integrate the Google Maps into its vehicles, particularly the Send to Car, Point of Interest Search and Local Search by Voice features.

Techies say that despite the release of two Android voice assistant app, Robin and Speaktoit Assistant, Siri still is the queen of voice assistants, although spoof makers continue to make light of Siri's inability to function well in other countries outside the U.S. and other English-speaking nations.

Other drawbacks of Siri includes the app giving the weather reading in Fahrenheit despite being in a country that uses Celsius although it could be fixed by opening the Clock and tapping Edit, and its misunderstanding unusual words and names which can be corrected by adding phonetic pronunciations to names in the contact list.

This inability led to a spoof by a Philippine ad agency, which became viral with almost 2.5 million hits. However, as the spoof points out, non-English language is not recognised, so what we are posting here is a version with English subtitles.

This spoof, which still featured Vangie, the Pinoy virtual assistant, further led to two more spoofs from the same ad agency, making light of the bad traffic situation in the Philippine national capital region

The fourth spoof focused on Siri's security features which gave the gadget James Bond-like powers such as the ability to throw taser beams and transform the person holding the device

which, when closely examined, is a spoof of Robin, the free Android voice assistant from Google Play.

The latest Philippine Siri spoof was in a movie titled Sosy Problems

wherein Siri was a real-life housemaid who provides assistance to her socialite boss.
