If Tom Holland’s recent photo is anything to go by, then “Captain America: Civil War” may see Frank Castle in a cameo appearance. The young actor stirred fans’ curiosity of a possible involvement of The Punisher in the sequel when he shared his photo with Jon Bernthal online.

Tom Holland took to social media to share a photo where he’s seen posing for the camera with The Punisher actor Jon Bernthal. The 19-year old, who has been cast to play as the new Peter Parker in the Spider-Man” reboot, captioned the Instagram snap, “Had an amazing time hanging with this guy. Much love brother.” The photo has since received over six thousand likes since he posted it on Thursday, July 16.

According to Comic Book Movie , the photo alone is enough to create speculation that perhaps Jon Bernthal will debut his role as The Punisher in “Captain America: Civil War.” After all, Tom Holland is reportedly currently filming the sequel for his Spider-Man debut. Holland’s photo had supposedly teased Frank Castle’s cameo in the movie ahead of the character’s confirmed appearance in Season 2 of “Daredevil.”

However, Tom Holland also captioned his Instagram photo with the hash tags #pilgrimage and #brothers. Apparently, the young actor is also working on a film with Jon Bernthal called “Pilgrimage.” So per Comic Book Movie, it’s likely that the photo was taken while they were on the set of their film.

Tom Holland also took to his Instagram page last week to show his preparation for his new role as the web slinger in the “Spider-Man” reboot. The actor shared his photo showing him dressed in workout gear. He captioned the image, “New glasses and it's time for the gym!!!”

The actor will debut Peter Parker with a cameo appearance in the 2016 film “Captain America: Civil War” ahead of his lead role in the Spider-Man” reboot. Details to the web slinger’s appearance in the sequel have been scarce. It’s uncertain if Spider-Man will have a major role to play in the film. Variety mention that Tom Holland will only be filming his scenes for about a week.
