Scarlett Johansson spoke about the success of her recently released Marvel movie and preparing to film “Captain America: Civil War.” The actress teased about what to expect from some of the characters in the movie, especially Black Widow.

Black Widow apparently has a “grater purpose” in the upcoming movie. Scarlett Johansson spoke about her character to Collider and also pointed out that the other characters in the franchise also have a role to play “one way or another.”

All the superheroes in the movie will have to choose between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War.” “I think it’s pretty clear where the pieces will fall,” Scarlett Johansson said about the superheroes choosing sides in the movie. Each superhero will be guided by their individual “moral compass,” the actress explained.

Fans of the franchise may have an inclination about which side each superhero may choose to support in the movie. The characters will choose a side based on their respective “thought process,” “background,” “training” and “experience,” according to Scarlett Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson has read the script of “Captain America: Civil War” and said that it is different from any other Marvel movie that she has been a part of. She however did not reveal which side Black Widow will choose in the movie.

The actress also talked about how she was not supposed to be a part of the “Captain America” movies, as per her contract. She said that Marvel couldn’t anticipate how the audience would react to her character, but the positive response is said to have led to Scarlett Johansson’s contract with the studio to start “mutating” according to the demands of the character. The actress said that there was even room for a standalone movie of Black Widow that can “reveal different sides of her.”

“Captain America: Civil War” will feel like a “pre-Avengers 3 and 4,” Scarlett Johansson said. The previous standalone movies of Steve Rogers did not help set up the next “Avengers” movie, but the upcoming movie will supposedly be different.

The recently released Marvel movie teased the presence of the Infinity stones that the fans have already seen in the previous movies. The Infinity Stones play a major role in the next two “Avengers” movies. It is unclear if “Captain America: Civil War” will feature any of the Infinity Stones.
