Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard named Justin Bieber as the most suitable person she would like to date.

Ms Bouchard was interviewed at the Australian Open as she was asked whom she would choose to date if she had a chance to choose anyone from the entire world. She mentioned Bieber out of all the people in the world. The interviewer asked her on Tuesday whom she would choose from sports or movies. The interviewer, at the same time, apologised for asking her such a question, but she said that she had been asked by her bosses to place that question to the Canadian tennis beauty.

Ms Bouchard paused and giggled before naming Bieber. She looked shy to take his name as she covered her face in a coy manner. Nevertheless, the members of the all-male fan club present at the venue shook head in disagreement as they managed to wave off Ms Bouchard's choice in men. The men wear white and red T-shirts that were labelled as "Genie Army." They sing to Ms Bouchard and throw soft toys after she plays a match.

The 19-year-old Canadian beauty is going to play Li Na, the fourth seeded player at the Australian Open, on Thursday in the semi-final. If she wins against Ms Na, she will become the first Canadian player to fight for her country in an Australian Open final. Nevertheless, she has already become the first Canadian player to reach the semi-finals at the Australian Open after she defeated Ana Ivanovic at the quarter-final.

Ms Bouchard, however, had not been a widely popular figure before she started playing at the Australian Open. She was mildly well-known in Quebec before as well. She was even invited to be the guest-reader of the weather at CTV Montreal. However, it was only after she defeated Ms Ivanovic and reached the semi-final, her country started appreciating her immensely.
