An emotionally charged and action-packed episode awaits fans of “Blue Bloods,” as the hit cop television series airs this Friday. The third episode of Season 7, titled “The Price of Justice,” centres on Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez), as they pull out all the stops to help a young woman who was held hostage. They hit a snag when the traumatised victim refuses to testify, which would mean the criminal goes scot-free.

Frank (Tom Selleck), on the other hand, struggles when another incident threatens the reputation of NYPD. The upcoming installment will also feature other “Blue Bloods” cast members including Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Jamie (Will Estes), Henry (Len Cariou), Linda (Amy Carlson), Nicky (Sami Gayle) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray).

According to TV Guide, Friday’s episode focuses on Frank, who deals with a PR nightmare when a high-profile NYPD fund-raiser makes use of a fake police vehicle to dodge traffic. Jamie, on the other hand, gets his shot at fame when he becomes a technical adviser on a TV show. Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are resolute to do everything they can to give a woman the justice she deserves. Things are not that easy, however, when she declines pressing charges even after being held hostage.

CBS has posted sneak peeks of the Oct. 7 episode of “Blue Bloods” on its official site. In the trailer, the female victim cries as he tells Danny, “I thought he was going to kill me.” Baez urges the woman to testify against her attacker. “You can’t let him get away with what he did to you,” Baez says. However, the badly injured woman turns her down, replying, “I can’t tell a roomful of strangers what happened to me.”

Elsewhere, Frank adamantly says, “I will do what I can without compromising this office.” Erin, meanwhile, talks to the suspect and his lawyer. “The jury will see him exactly for who he is – a spoiled sociopath,” Erin claims, earning the ire of the suspect.

In another preview video, Baez tells Danny that says she’s pissed off because the DA refused to prosecute the attacker. Danny tells her that without the victim’s testimony, they can’t blame the writing DA. Erin arrives, telling them that she reviewed the case and it’s a challenging one. Baez insists that there were three other women callers who claim they were assaulted but the same man, but Erin reminds her that the victims withdrew their complaints. While Baez appears ready to give up, Erin assures her the suspect won’t walk away without a fight – she’s charging him unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping and first-degree rape by forcible compulsion.
