Apart from the standard black hue, the BlackBerry Passport can now be availed in brand new red and white colours. Notably, a couple of days back, the red coloured version was speculated to hit the store shelves during Black Friday time frame. But now, it is official that the red hued device along with the white coloured variant can be pre-ordered for the upcoming holidays.

It is worth mentioning that, both red and white colour options can only be availed by potential buyers who do not own a black-hued Passport already and have not pre-ordered a handset in BlackBerry's official online store, pertaining to the U.S. customers. Furthermore, the white-coloured BlackBerry Passport is priced significantly lower than the red one at $599, whereas the red Passport comes for a whopping $699. And quite interestingly, the base model i.e. black-hued Passport will set the buyers back by only $499, according to GSM Arena.

The pre-order window for red and white variants started on Nov. 24. Meanwhile, the ordered red variant will start shipping from Nov. 28 onwards. Plus, the Passport can also be purchased from Amazon and this includes the white variant as well. Similar to the BlackBerry online store, the orders placed via Amazon will also ship around Nov. 28 time frame.

Moving on to the key configurations, the BlackBerry Passport features a 4.5-inch "square" display complemented by a unique 1,440 x 1,440 pixels resolution, alongside a physical QWERTY keyboard. Notably, the physical keyboard can act as a trackpad as well. This handset is supremely effective and helpful when viewing and editing spreadsheets, word documents and even when typing emails. Other significant features include 13 MP OIS camera as the primary unit, 32 GB of internal storage capacity and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The whole configuration is powered by a humongous 3,450 mAh battery unit. As the company points out, this incredible device can provide up to 30 hours of battery life. Adding a cherry on top, the BlackBerry Passport has amassed 4.8 out of 5.0 rating in Amazon. Interested buyers can place the order in BlackBerry's official website, which showcases black, white and red variants. Lastly, the Passport is a GSM device, hence it works only with AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
