The pirates of Nassau will have to face a difficult situation in “Black Sails” Season 3. Not confident of winning against the English fleet, Anne will consider running away with her share of the gold. Rackham, however, is interested in making history.

[Spoiler alert]

The pirates managed to stall the English invasion of the island in the previous episode, with a massive show of force. The invading fleet chose not to engage in battle, as they risked substantial losses of their own in the fight.

The English fleet will blockade the island in the next episode of the show and try to subdue the pirates by making sure that no one trades with the pirates. The pirates may be left with a choice of either surrendering to England or try and defeat their forces.

Given this situation, Anne Bonny (Clara Paget) will tell Rackham (Toby Schmitz) that they can simply take their share of the gold and run away, to live a life of their choice and free from worries. A new clip from “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 4 posted on the YouTube channel of Starz shows the discussion between the two characters.

Rackham is reluctant to leave Nassau, as he sees the potential of the island. The character is interested in making a name for himself and making history. “We were so close…to accomplishing something that would have written our names into history. There’s no piece of the world for sale that can replace that,” Rackham says in the video.

Anne, however, strongly believes that they need to leave Nassau behind. Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy) had told Anne in the previous episode that their paths will go separate ways eventually. Max had even taken the time to get Anne’s share of the gold ready.

“Black Sails” Season 3 episode 4 preview video shows that Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) will have a plan to deal with the English fleet. Blackbeard and Vane (Zach McGowan) will find it hard to keep the pirates of Nassau in line, due to the bounty the English placed on Vane’s head.
