Blackbeard and Vane will have a plan to deal with the invading English fleet in “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 4. A trailer of the next episode teases some of the events on the show.

[Spoiler alert]

After failing to subdue the pirates of Nassau, Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) will decide to blockade the island with his ships. The next governor of the Bahamas was not expecting the pirates to present a unified resistance.

Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) and Vane (Zach McGowan) will have a plan to deal with the blockade. While Vane believes that a direct attack on the ships in the blockade will be futile, Blackbeard seems to have a plan in motion.

The pirates will launch an attack on the English forces in the next episode to break the blockade. The ship on which Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New) is staying in is also attacked by the pirates. Mr. Scott (Hakeem Kae-Kazim), however, appears to believe that the fall of the pirates is inevitable.

Vane and Blackbeard have to deal with their own problems on the island. The bounty on Vane’s head that Woodes placed in the previous episode of “Black Sails” Season 3 has got many of the pirates on the island interested.

Vane and Blackbeard will have to take on a few pirates in the next episode. The duo will have to take the battle to the English quickly, before more men succumb to greed and fear, and choose the easy way out.

Captain Benjamin Hornigold (Patrick Lyster) had managed to sow discord among the pirates in the previous episode, by winning over some of them to his side. Blackbeard had remarked that they can’t kill Hornigold under a white flag because he commands the respect of many of the men on the island.

Meanwhile, news appears to have reached Flint (Toby Stephens) and his crew about the English invasion. John Silver (Luke Arnold) tells Flint that the men should prepare to face the new reality of Nassau. The island will not be the same when they return in a future episode of “Black Sails” Season 3.
