Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they are ending their 10 years of marriage. The couple released a joint statement confirming the divorce.

In a joint statement to People, the couple stated that they have taken the “difficult decision to divorce” after careful consideration. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

According to a report by Us Weekly, the divorce is amicable. A source informed the website that Affleck and Garner don’t want it to be “War of the Roses.”

The source added that they want the process to be simple and they don’t want any drama. The announcement of the divorce has come after the 10-year anniversary.

Affleck and Garner fell in love on the set of “Daredevil.” In 2005, the got married. The couple has three children – 9-year-old Violet, 6-year-old Seraphina and 3-year-old Samuel.

The source revealed that they will be amicable because of their kids. Also, Affleck will live on the Brentwood property, however they will not live together. Garner and Affleck will have joint custody so that they can co-parent their three children.

The source revealed the reasons behind the Affleck and Garner divorce. “They’ve been married for a long time and tried to make it work for many years,” the source said. According to the insider, both Affleck and Garner realised that “it the best thing to do for their family.” Moreover, there is love but what they are doing is best for everybody.
