The new trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has confirmed that Gal Gadot’s "Wonder Woman" will play a key role in the DC universe’s new band of heroes. Now, a reliable source has confirmed that the film will also feature a few more heroes who are set to appear in the upcoming “Justice League” films.

Speaking to Omelete, Batman vs Superman costume designer Michael Wilkinson let it slip that The Flash will make an appearance in the film.

“I’m not really at the liberty to talk about The Flash right now, but it’s something that you’ll be seeing in the future in our films. You do get a glimpse of him, of course, in Batman v Superman,” he said.

As to who will play the role is yet to be determined but Wilkinson said that he is excited to make a costume for “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actor Erza Miller. In the same interview, Wilkinson was all-praise for the actor.

“He’s an extraordinary performer, he has a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that will be great for Barry Allen and I think he’s going to make a great Flash,” Wilkinson said.

Do note that though Wilkinson has confirmed the brief appearance of The Flash, he also said that he is looking forward to designing a costume for Miller, which means that he has not made one yet.

The Flash makes an appearance in “Batman v Superman” scene where a surveillance system shows him as a blur while stopping a robbery, according to Heroic Hollywood’s sources. Another rumoured appearance is that of Aquaman (Jason Momoa) who will reportedly be seen as a captive in a containment chamber. The scene is likely connected to Lex Luthor’s survey of metahumans as reported by BMD.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens on March 25, 2016. “The Flash” is set to open on March 23, 2017 and “Aquaman” is set to open on July 27, 2018.
