The new trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which was released on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” features action-packed sequences mixed with a bit of sarcastic humour. The three-minute preview was enough to keep fans excited for the film’s release. However, it was also more than enough to reveal some major spoilers in the movie.

The preview opens with Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) sharing a tense moment while at Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) party. Kent strikes a sensitive chord in Wayne after he questions and contradicts the latter's opinions about Gotham’s “Bat” vigilante, to which Wayne sarcastically responds. Wayne looks Kent up and down with familiarity and says, “I have a bad history with freaks dressed as clowns,” which hints he already knows Kent is actually Superman.

Even Luthor already knows the superhero identity of the Daily Planet reporter. After he shakes both men’s hands and feels Kent’s strong grip, he jokingly tells Wayne not to “pick a fight” with Kent.

According to Wired, it’s obvious that Luthor is the one orchestrating all the chaos in the film. He is the main antagonist in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and he aims to create conflict between the two superheroes. As what Luthor says in the new trailer, he wants to see “the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world,” which is the fight between the “Son of Krypton versus Bat of Gothman.”

Somehow, Luthor's goal involves experimenting on General Zod’s (Michael Shannon) corpse. The new trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” confirms previous spoilers that Luthor used the Kryptonian’s dead body to create his ultimate weapon to defeat Superman. In the comics, it was Doomsday who finally killed the Man of Steel.

At the end of the trailer, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) arrives. It’s believed she will battle Doomsday and will manage to cut off his hand. Their fight is said to be an integral part of the movie.

Collider described the new trailer as very revealing. The scenes from the party sequence up until Wonder Woman’s arrival just in time to save both Batman and Superman from Doomsday are reportedly so telling that it’s easy to connect them to some of the previously rumoured spoilers for the film.

The preview can also be considered as a montage of spoilers. As what YouTube star and film critic Jeremy Jahns said on his video review of the new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer, the scenes actually just summed up the entire plotline of the movie.
