Andy Murray has swapped tennis for basketball as he tries the National Basketball Association (NBA) UK’s half-court challenge. Murray came close with two, but he was unable to find the hoop in any of his five attempts.

Sporting a Miami Heat jersey, Murray revealed in the video that he has always been a fan of basketball even though he wasn’t able to play the sport while he was growing up. He said that he and his friends used to watch Heat games when he visits the U.S. He added that he has been a fan of the sport for the last few years.

He tried to find the net with five shots. At one point, it almost looked like he will finally land the ball in the hoop, but it bounced off the backboard. After Murray completed the challenge, he nominated World No. 1 female tennis ace Serena Williams to take on the challenge.

“I’d like to see Serena Williams try the half court challenge,” Murray said. “I think she’d do it as well.”

Murray also picked his five-man basketball team. According to the British two-time grand slam champion, he would pick Ivo Karlovic as his centre, John Isner as the power forward, and Rafael Nadal as the point guard. Then, he will pick Roger Federer as the shooting guard. As for himself, he said he’d be better off in a small forward position.

Currently, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is on top of NBA UK’s half-court challenge scoring three hoops. Fellow footballers Demba Ba, Petr Cech, Andre Schurrle, Geoff Cameron and Brad Friedel scored one hoop apiece.

Murray reached the semifinals of the 2015 French Open, but he failed to progress in the tournament after losing to ensuing finalist Novak Djokovic, who was defeated by Stan Wawrinka in the finals. Murray is 36-6 and has won two titles this season. He defeated Nadal in the finals of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid. He also claimed title in Munich, Germany after victory over 26th-ranked Philipp Kohlschreiber. Murray currently ranks third in the latest ATP world rankings.
