The world’s biggest tennis stars get nominations for the second annual Kids’ Choice Sports 2015. The 2015 Kids’ Choice Sports Awards is the only awards show where athletes from various sport disciplines get to battle head-to-head in amusing and entertaining categories.

Two of the most popular players from the Association of Tennis Professionals get nominations at Kids’ Choice Sports 2015. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who recently played his third final appearance at the Roland Garros, is nominated twice. Djokovic is nominated for the Sickest Moves Award against FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, UFC’s Ronda Rousey and U.S. figure skater Ashley Wagner. Djokovic is also nominated for Most Enthusiastic Player Award alongside J.J. Watt of the National Football League and fellow tennis player from women’s tour Serena Williams.

Seventeen-time grand slam Swiss champion Roger Federer got nomination for the King of Swag Award. Other athletes nominated for the said award include Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James from the National Basketball Association.

Serena, who claimed her 20th grand slam title at the recently-concluded Roland Garros tournament, is selected to go up against rival Maria Sharapova for the Best Female Athlete Award. Both players are also nominated for the Queen of Swag Award. Serena is also nominated for the Biggest Powerhouse Award, which gives tribute to a player who has an indisputable power on the field.

For the Best Cannon Award, which honours the player who has the toughest arms in sports, former World No. 1 Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal gets to compete against Serena, Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos and David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox.

This year’s list of nominees includes several newbies and fan-favourites such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., DeMarco Murray, Abby Wambach, Skylar Diggins and Rickie Fowler. Fans get to vote for their favourite sport personality starting on June 8. The awards ceremony will take place at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles. It will be hosted by Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson is nominated in three categories, namely, Best Male Athlete, King of Swag and Best Cannon Awards.
