It has been revealed that the late singer was already engaged to current boyfriend Reg Traviss weeks before her death.

According to a new report, Amy Winehouse was already engaged to Reg Traviss and was due to marry him next year. According to a friend, the two had a "secret" engagement because they didn't want the public or the media to speculate results and rid them of their privacy. Mitch Winehouse, the singer's father, says Amy has been in "her best" in years because of Reg's companionship. "Reg asked Amy and of course she said 'Yes'. She loved him," tells a source and close friend to The Daily Mail. "She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly" adds the source in the same report. Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, the "Big Brother" contestant who's friends with the late singer, says Amy wanted nothing more "than to be a housewife and have children with Reg".

"Amy found love in Reg" says Mitch Winehouse during last week's memorial service outside the singer's home on the morning of her death. Traviss is believed to be the exact opposite of Amy's drugged ex Blake Fielder-Civil and does everything he can to put the singer in the right path. Even though Traviss and Winehouse's marriage didn't push trough because of her death, fans and family members are content that Amy didn't pass away "with a broken heart".

"I can't describe what I am going through and I want to thank so much all of the people who have paid their respects and who are mourning the loss of Amy, such a beautiful, brilliant person and my dear love. I have lost my darling who I loved very much" says Traviss on the singer's unexpected death as reported by The Daily Mail.
