After months of waiting, fans can finally get their hands on the third and final instalment of the "Divergent" series, "Allegiant", written by Veronica Roth. Thanks to all the blood-pumping action, "Allegiant" kick starts its way to the top-selling book on Amazon beating Suzanne Collin's "Hunger Games" trilogy. Here's everything to know on Roth's final book - fret not because there won't be any spoilers.

Over the weekend, readers of Roth's beloved series, "Divergent" patiently waited for the announcement of the third books' release. Last night, Veronica posted a video of her reading the first chapter of "Allegiant" which only made fans hyper for the actual book debut.

Multiple bookstores across the world scheduled their own release parties with some even planning a "faction" event. For those who still haven't read the novels, the characters in Veronica's novel are each categorized into factions namely Dauntless, Erudite, Abnegation, Candor and Amity.

Thanks to the much anticipated release of "Allegiant," Veronica's books have managed to beat the likes of "Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins on Amazon. To date, "Allegiant" ranks number one as the top selling book while it falls to the number two spot on Barnes & Noble.

Entertainment Weekly critic, Hillary Busis, had already got her hands on the novel. Busis' review doesn't shed much light on the story which is great for fans who wouldn't want to be spoiled on the ending. The EW critic grades "Allegiant" a B+ with the review as follows.

"In this dystopian universe, nobody is safe. The plot, which finds Roth's characters venturing beyond their city's walls only to discover a new network of conspiracies, is straight out of the sci-fi handbook, clumsy racism allegory and all."

As for the first book in the series, "Divergent" had recently wrapped up production on its' film adaptation. The film stars "The Spectacular Now" Shailene Woodley who is currently filming scenes as Hazel Grace in John Green's novel, "The Fault in Our Stars." Zoey Kravitz, Theo James and Ansel Elgort also join Shailene Woodley in the "Divergent" film set for release next year.

On the other hand, the author of the books, Veronica Roth is set of to take "a little break" after her work on "Allegiant."

"I think I'm going to... just kind of play around with some ideas," said Roth, adding, "I do love writing for teens, so I don't see that changing anytime soon."
