Fresh leak points to a sleek front panel of an upcoming Windows Phone powered device. Apparently, this leak has originated from China via the credible site IThome. The leaked images are reportedly the hardware test samples of the new displays, being built for the forthcoming handset.

And based on the leaked information, the upcoming device will sport a 5.0-inch display. With this display size and the OS in mind, GSM Arena opines that the smartphone could be one of the Microsoft Lumia 1030 or the Microsoft Lumia 940.

Going by the leaked images, the front panel looks jet-black and it is flat/squared. Also, the images suggest that the phone will have sharp edges. Furthermore, the handset's screen comes with physical capacitive navigation buttons on it. It is worth mentioning that, the recently released Windows Phone powered devices come with on-screen buttons and not the capacitive ones.

Meanwhile, Microsoft does not have any new high-end device lined up for fall 2014. Reportedly, the company was gearing up to release a 3D touch-based high-end Windows Phone handset with the codename "McLaren."But then, the McLaren project was reportedly scrapped for reasons unknown. In any case, Microsoft has HTC One (M8) for Windows and the recently released Nokia Lumia 830 to help with the holiday season sales, according to Windows Central. And at this point, the Redmond based tech giant is not expected to release any new Lumia device until the mid of 2015.

Moving on to the one year successful run of the "Xbox One," the company will be celebrating its birth anniversary on Nov. 22. On this occasion, Microsoft is offering exciting goodies to the Xbox One owners. All Xbox One owners who purchased their sets between Nov. 22, 2013 and Nov. 11, 2014 will get the following goodies from Nov. 21:
