When buying smartphones, there are several aspects of the device that stand as deal breakers. One such aspect is smartphone's battery life. Even when some of the handsets feature humongous battery units, there are others that tweak the software, screen resolution and house a modest battery unit. In general, the retention of the battery charge depends on the overall configuration of the phone. On that note, here is a set of smartphones custom tested by Phone Arena that can be charged from 0 percent to 100 percent quicker than other handsets.

It is worth noting that the battery technology like QuickCharge 2.0 is supported by Qualcomm's 8xx series of processors. Therefore, almost all the flagship smartphones that use Qualcomm's 8xx series of processors can in fact help the battery charge faster. However, many OEMs have not enabled this technology. But those handsets with QuickCharge 2.0 support, charge exceptionally quicker, says Phone Arena.

Oppo Find 7a

The topper on the list is a surprise package named Oppo Find 7a. This handset comes with a modest 2,800 mAh battery unit. But then, the phone supports VOOC charging, hence, it can charge from 0 percent to 75 percent within 30 minutes. In the case of full-charge, the time taken by this handset is 1 hour and 22 minutes. The phone's overall battery life sustainability stands at 6 hours and 6 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The latest Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet comes equipped with a killer 3,220 mAh battery unit. Also it is worth noting that this device comes with Quad HD resolution. Moreover, the QuickCharge 2.0 capability helps the phone charge from 0 percent to 100 percent in 1 hour and 35 minutes. Plus, the battery charge can be sustained for 8 hours and 43 minutes.

Google Nexus 6

Google's latest smartphone Nexus 6 has already garnered favourable reviews from critics. The phone houses a whopping 3,220 mAh battery unit and Quad HD resolution. Under the hood, this device comes with a Motorola Turbo Charger, which lets the battery to charge from 0 percent to 100 percent within 1 hour and 38 minutes. Also, the battery life can be maintained for 7 hours and 53 minutes.

LG G3

LG's 2014 flagship G3 houses a solid 3,000 mAh battery unit and features Quad HD resolution. However, this handset is one of the slower charging flagships, so it takes 2 hours or higher to charge from 0 percent to 100 percent. And the charge can be sustained for 6 hours and 14 minutes.

OnePlus One

One of the most underrated phones of 2014, the OnePlus One is among the top 5 handsets that can charge faster. The device comes equipped with a good 3,100 mAh battery unit. And it charges from 0 percent to 100 percent in 2 hours. Nonetheless, the battery life stays intact for an impressive 8 hours and 5 minutes duration.
