Keeping the bendgate issue aside, both iPhone 6 models have received positive feedback from reviewers and analysts alike. Specifically, the improved camera unit of iPhone 6 was commended, and camera professionals also approved of the latest Apple device. However, several iPhone 6 Plus users are reportedly experiencing a major issue with the camera unit housed on the device.

In theory, the Apple iPhone 6 Plus has a relatively better camera mounted on its rear compared with its 4.7-inch sibling. The 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus camera comes with an Optical Image Stabilization, or OIS, support. However, some of the iPhone 6 Plus owners have complained that they are unable to focus or stabilise the main camera. Reportedly, this problem occurs even when the iPhone 6 Plus is held straight and still. Because of this issue, the captured images and videos are hazy, according to BGR.

BGR reports that a user named "oneZer01" from Apple Support Community forum complained about the aforementioned issue back in mid-October. According to him, the front-facing camera unit does not have this problem. He also added a couple of captured images to prove his point. He noted that when the camera was being used, there were no other active apps open. Apparently, he went ahead and rebooted the phone and reset the handset's settings, but the camera issue still persisted.

The user reportedly took the iPhone 6 Plus to the Apple Store for genius bar service. As a last resort, the executives there replaced the camera unit on his phone. Thankfully, there seems to be no problem after the replacement. However, one of his friends faced the same issue on his iPhone 6 Plus.

Furthermore, another user with the same issue uploaded a YouTube video demonstrating the problem. Reportedly, this user noticed a mechanical clicking sound from the handset upon using the camera unit. According to Business Insider, the camera problem could be because of the newly added OIS feature in the iPhone 6 Plus. It is worth mentioning that the new smaller model iPhone 6 comes with Digital Image Stabilization and not the OIS.

At this point, the number of iPhone 6 Plus users facing such an issue is quite limited, and Apple has not come up with an official response to the problem. Interested readers can check out the video showing the camera issue below.
