At $241 ‘OnePlus One Mini’ To Feature 5-Inch Display, 8MP Front/Back Camera, 64-Bit Processor And More
Leaked images of the alleged compact device "OnePlus One Mini" have been spotted and key specifications of the handset have been revealed. Based out of China, the company OnePlus will reportedly debut its mini device at a budget-friendly price. Notably, the flagship device OnePlus One also falls under wallet-friendly handsets category at $355. Despite this, the phone comes with cutting edge specifications.
Based on the report from AnTuTu, the upcoming OnePlus One Mini smartphone will reportedly feature a 5.0-inch display and will be powered by none-other-than the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. Speaking of camera, the handset will apparently feature two 8 MP camera units on the front, as well as on the back of the device. On the software end, the phone will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, according to Phone Arena.
Going by the first look of the device, there seems to be no difference from the original flagship handset OnePlus One. Nonetheless, the texture on the plastic back panel is relatively rough, notes the same site. If reports are true, the mini handset will be launched sometime in 2015. Also, the price of the OnePlus One Mini is expected to be 1499 RMB, which roughly translates to US$241, AU$294 and 154 GBP. On the other hand, the OnePlus One successor, the OnePlus Two, has recently been leaked and the specifications are out as well. The OnePlus Two will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch display, complemented by 1440p screen resolution. The phone will be powered by a superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. But then, GSM Arena reports that, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 805 processor. Hence, there is no confirmation on the processor unit, at this point.
Speaking of camera specification, there will be a solid 16 MP primary camera unit and a 5 MP front facing shooter for selfies. Plus, the phone will come equipped with 32 GB of internal storage capacity. And lastly, the whole configuration is powered by a killer 3,300 mAh battery unit. It is worth noting that, the OnePlus Two release date is reportedly set for Q3 2015.
