The 2015 Miss Universe beauty pageant, which is scheduled to air on Fox on Dec. 20, has allowed public voting for the first time, to determine the final winner.

The pageant organisers announced Monday that fans can cast their votes in real time for their favourite contestant during the competition, according to pageant organisers. These votes will be taken in consideration to determine the 2015 Miss Universe. Voting will be allowed during the live broadcast.

In other news from 2015 Miss Universe competition zone, “Rush Hour 2” actress Tosalyn Sanchez has been roped in to give the backstage commentary, while television personality Steve Harvey is hosting the event. And Grammy-winning artist Seal,Grammy, the Band Perry and Charlie Puth are set to perform on the final day.

The 2015 Miss Universe beauty pageant held its preliminary rounds on Wednesday night. Judges Erika Albies, former Miss USA Erin Brady, Julio Caro, Keiko Uraguchi, Nischelle Turner, Rocky Motwani and Zak Soreff judged 80 beauties vying for the 2015 Miss Universe crown. The contestants competed in the swimsuit and evening gown categories.

Monika Radulovic is representing Australia this year. The Miss Universe 2015 will be telecast live on FOX on Sunday.
