Several stars failed to impress with their edgy looks on the red carpet of the 2015 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 4. Solange Knowles clearly took a fashion risk when she hit the red carpet in a in a kaleidoscopic Giles mini dress, shaped almost like a water-drop. Though the outfit was very bold, it completely swallowed her up and her face was barely visible, according to E Online. The singer has always showcased her flawless styles in the past.

Even Katy Perry who is known for her flawless style took a major risk when she walked into the event in a dreadful graffiti-print dress with long matching gloves. The pop star paired her Moschino gown with a spray can clutch bag. Her adventurous gown failed to impress and she topped the night’s worst dressed list sporting a pixie haircut and bronze eyeshadow. Katy attended the event along with Moschino’s designer Jeremy Scott and Madonna. The 56-year-old singer also wore a very similar looking Moschino gown that had a cape-like effect and she also put on a pair of black gloves to complete the look.

Katy’s ensemble failed to relate to the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme of the gala, Solange’s outfit shifted focus from the Jay Z elevator drama last year. Lady Gaga was dressed in a voluminous, kimono-style Balenciaga dress embellished with feathers for her red carpet appearance. The style chameleon came along with fashion designer Alexander Wang to the gala. She also donned a matching head piece along with her edgy ensemble

Kris Jenner was dressed in a red Balmian 1980s inspired dress. The 59-year-old reality television star failed to impress with her loud gold chandelier earrings. Even “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker. The fashionable 50-year-old’s Chinese inspired look was too loud, besides the H&M dress designed by her got subdued by her flaming red head piece by British milliner Philip Treacy. Alicia Keys Jean Paul Gaultier gown missed the night’s theme. The ensemble consisted of a tulle skirt offset by a blazer and crop top combination.
