From Jennifer Lopez to Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé and Rosie Huntington Whiteley everyone donned the sheer dress in various forms to the 2015 Met Gala. The red carpet saw some of the most daring and risqué ensembles of the night an all-out style showdown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City. Then there was Rihanna who shut down the entire red carpet with her massive train, while Kate Hudson, Lily Aldridge and Kerry Washington looked classic, according to E Online.

Jennifer Lopez wore a red, iridescent Atelier Versace confection with sheer illusion panels. She showed off her derriere in the tight fitting daring sheer beaded gown. Reality television star Kim Kardashian was elegant in her racy evening gown. The 34-year-old hit the red carpet with her rapper husband in tow opting for a Roberto Cavalli sheer lace gown with a fringe bottom in white. The “Keeping up With the Kardashians” star shared a picture of herself along with Jennifer Lopez on Twitter clicked by Kanye. She even shared a series of pictures on Twitter of all her past Met Gala red carpets and her Cavalli dress fitting.

British beauty Rosie Huntington Whiteley stunned in her nude-effect dress. The gown by Atelier Versace’s Couture Spring 2015 collection, it featured a thigh high split and a curved bustier. The dress highlighted her model physique and clung to her body like second skin accentuating her curves. The 28-year-old supermodel sparkled in her shimmering pink-gold number. Her honey-blonde tresses were slicked back in a deep side-parting, adding an old Hollywood glamour. Rosie finished her look with a pop of deep red lipstick, wore matching strappy high-heel sandals and carried a shimmery box clutch.

Beyoncé showed up late for the event in a peekaboo custom Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. The pop queen’s gown was embellished with multicolored crystals and stones. She completed her look with a high ponytail and nude make-up. But her barely there ensemble sent Twitter into a frenzy with several fans praising her and others slamming her see-through outfit.

Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker made heads turn in her statement fascinator. The “Sex and the City” actress donned an intricately beaded, one-sleeved black gown. But her beaded, beribboned topper, swirling into a flame-like design by British milliner Philip Treacy was a total standout of the evening. Besides, Kate Hudson, Lily Aldridge and Kerry Washington stole the show in their classic looks by Michael Kors, Carolia Herrera and Prada respectively. [Check The Pictures Here]
